Swing into the season when the Akron Symphony Orchestra
and Chorus
present a traditional holiday concert with a twist.
The first half of the
program will feature beloved carols and music, embellished
with the guest
appearance of the Renaissance Ringers handbell choir.
The
second half of the concert features jazz arrangements
by Paul
Ferguson
of favorites such as “
I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “Have
Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” and
featuring horn solos by local jazz celebrity Jack
Schantz. The evening
concludes with a sing-along medley that will leave
you humming all the way
home.
